Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos is a RTS (Real-time strategy) PC videogame developed by Blizzard Entertainment. It is the second sequel to the original Warcraft. You will have to lead your armies to victory while you build an impenetrable fortress to defend against enemies. There are four races available: Orcs, Humans, the Undead and Night Elves. Each one has its own buildings, units, strategies and heroes.
Along with Starcraft, Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos is a true classic for strategy games lovers of all ages. You will enjoy planning your next attack on a poorly defended camp that your scouts found for you or equipping your hero with the best items, so he can chop off more heads as he goes through the battlefield. Besides, thanks to a custom map made in this game we can enjoy Defense of the Ancients, the most successful mod for Warcraft. This humble map inspired the MOBA genre, which is the most popular nowadays.
For the Horde!
Visionary Orcish leader, Thrall, wakes up from a prophetic nightmare that warns him about the arrival of a major threat for the world: the Burning Legion. After this, his army follows him in a painful exodus to the barrens of Kalimdor. Meanwhile, Arthas (the prince and Paladin of Lordaeron) chases the dreadlord Mal’Ganis to the end of the world, since he commanded the infection of Stratholme with “the plague”, forcing the prince to kill his own people. When Arthas arrives to Northrend following his path, he finds the help of his good friend Muradin and finds a mysterious sword, the Frostmourne. Little did he know that the frozen sword will slowly consume his mind, turning him into a slave.
The game is broken up into five campaigns, two for the orcs and one for each other race. You will follow an elaborated storyline, discovering little parts of a bigger canvas. Every campaign presents a different hero which we will have to follow: Thrall for the Orcs, Arthas for the humans, Tyrande Whisperwind for the Night Elves and a darker Arthas with the Undead, as he becomes damned by Frostmourne. Later on, these heroes reunite against a major force, commander of the Legion Archimonde.
The main gameplay and strategy is pretty standard for these games. To start building your empire, you will have to gather some basic resources: lumber, food, and gold. Gold and lumber allow you to build new constructions and upgrades, but food restricts your maximum number of units. These resources are finite, and you will have to find new mines and forest across the map. But be careful before you send your scouts into the wild; fog of war blocks the view of enemy troops.
As it usually happens with this kind of games, you can make things easier with some cheats, but we have to warn you: every time you use one of those, an innocent Murloc dies. Anyway, these are some cheats: If you are running out of lumber, feel free to type leafittome or greedisgood. Tired of barely seeing a thing at night? Turn on the lights with daylightsavings. There are other cheats that will grant you a massive advantage, such as iseedeadpeople, that reveals the whole map (eliminating fog of war), thereisnospoon will give you unlimited mana or whosyourdaddy, which grant invincibility to your units. Not easy enough? Try this: allyourbasearebelongtous.
